Welcome to the Gardeners Club

OCTOBER 2002

The winner of this month's Garden Of The Month title is Nigel Jarratt. Situated in Neston, Wirral, Cheshire, the garden stands at an impressive 0.25 of an acre. It is a large L shape garden with the 'lower' area only being added to the main garden when Nigel purchased the additional piece of land some 20 years ago.

He has owned the garden for 12 years and he tells me that the boundaries with the neighbor's are kept deliberately low so that they can all benefit from the views of each others' gardens.

For an October day the garden is looking in good form but apparently May normally sees a good showing of "rhodos" and azaleas amongst other things.

It also seems that Nigel is a 'budding' photographer - just take a look at this amazing picture of one of his late flowering passion flowers.

If you think your garden could be up for next month's title, use the information on the main 'Garden Of The Month' page below to let us know all about it.
